In the last few weeks we have had some incredible times with all the young animals, here in the eastern section of Kapama Game Reserve.

The Lion Cubs that were born on the 26th of June 2009, are doing extreemely well, they are now just less than 4 months old and have been seen on 4 seperate occations having their first few solid meals. ie. Impala, warthog. We managed to identify out of the 3 cubs that there are 2 females and 1 male.

Then the other new face we have in the Eastern Section is a now, 23 day old elephant calf, which we have been enjoing wathing learn the ways of the elephant… The use of the trunk is the one thing that takes the longest to adapt to, about 6 months, in most cases!

Till next time
