On the evening game drive last night we came across a strange sight. A young kudu bull with one spiral horn more back swept than the other, it was feeding on a thicket, but when it emerged we could see a tangle of bush around its horn, like a very dishevelled crown. He was a very strange sight but the bush and twigs did not seem to worry him, he had obviously stuck his head right into a bush going after some choice leaves. The branches will no doubt fall off eventually.
There was once reported an Oryx (Gemsbok) with a withered jackal on its horns that it killed!
